Privacy policy

What we collect

When you use the quote form we collect your name, email address, phone number, the property type, the county, your expected snag date and any notes you add. We do not ask for anything else, and there are no hidden fields.

Why we can use it

We use your details to answer your enquiry and to arrange an inspection. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. If you later ask to receive occasional emails from us, that is consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Cookies and measurement

Essential cookies keep the site working. Nothing that measures your visit is loaded until you choose "Accept all" in the banner, and you can change that choice at any time through "Cookie preferences" in the footer. The legal basis for everything in this section is your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.

If you accept, the site loads Google Tag Manager, which runs Google Ads tags. They set cookies to record whether a visit came from one of our ads, whether it led to an enquiry, a call or an email, and to let us show our ads to people who have visited the site. These services are provided by Google Ireland Limited.

If you have accepted and then send the quote form, the site also passes your email address and, if you gave one, your phone number to the Google Ads tag. The tag converts them into a one-way hash on your device before anything is sent, and Google uses that hash only to match the enquiry to an ad you may have clicked, which is known as enhanced conversions. Your name, the property details and your message are never sent. If you chose "Essential only", none of this happens.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted after [ retention period ]. Records of completed inspections, including the report and its photographs, are kept for [ retention period ] so that we can reissue the report if you need it.

Who else sees it

Your details are handled by us and by the providers who host this site and deliver our email. They act on our instructions and do not use your data for anything else. We do not sell personal data.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to noelymagna@gmail.com and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission, the supervisory authority in Ireland.

Photographs

Photographs from inspections may be published on this site to show the kind of defect we find. They are framed on the defect itself, with nothing that identifies a property or its owner.
